PCD torus end mills for profiling and finishing

Prima Tooling manufactures PCD torus end mills for profiling, pocketing and finishing applications where a defined corner radius is required. The torus geometry combines a flat cutting area with radiused corners, helping improve edge strength and produce a controlled internal radius on the component.

These tools are suitable for CFRP, GFRP, graphite, aluminium, non-ferrous alloys, plastics and other abrasive materials where dimensional consistency, surface finish and tool life are important.

Standard and bespoke corner radii

PCD torus end mills can be supplied in standard sizes or designed around a particular component and machining application. Options may include different diameters, corner radii, cutting lengths, reaches, shank sizes and flute configurations.

For bespoke tooling, please provide the component material, machine details, required diameter and corner radius, cutting depth, reach and any existing machining or tool-life problems.

Manufacture, service and replacement

Tools are manufactured using a solid carbide body with PCD cutting edges. Depending on the tool design and condition, existing cutters may also be suitable for inspection, sharpening, repair or replacement.
