PCD T-Slot Cutters for Slatwall Production
Most slatwall panels use MDF or a similar abrasive wood-based core. These materials can wear carbide tooling relatively quickly, particularly during continuous production.
PCD is therefore particularly well suited to high-volume slatwall machining. Its high wear resistance helps maintain profile accuracy and consistent production over longer machining periods.
PCD slatwall tooling typically uses cutting edges on the main diameter together with cutting geometry through the neck of the tool. This combination creates the required T-slot profile in a controlled machining operation.

Maintaining Slatwall Tool Accuracy
The dimensions of a slatwall cutter directly affect how accurately the insert fits the finished slot. For this reason, we do not simply sharpen PCD slatwall tooling if sharpening would reduce a critical dimension.
Where appropriate, Prima Tooling can resize and restore the cutter to its original dimensions. This helps maintain consistent slot geometry throughout production.
