Available as loose-type cutters or combined with the drill, our tooling can be manufactured to suit the required hole, countersink or counterbore dimensions and the material being machined.
TCT Countersinks for Wood and Panel Materials
Our TCT countersinks are suitable for applications involving:
- Solid timber
- MDF
- Chipboard
- Laminated panels
- Veneered boards
- Other wood-based panel materials
They can be used to produce clean, controlled countersinks for fixings and assembly operations where finish and repeatability are important.
Loose-Type Countersinks
Loose-type countersinks allow the countersink cutter to be positioned on a suitable drill, providing flexibility over drilling depth and countersink position.
Prima Tooling manufactures these cutters in a range of sizes and can produce bespoke dimensions where a standard tool does not suit the application.
Combined Drill and Countersink Tools
For production applications, we also manufacture combined drill and countersink tools where the drilling and countersinking operations are carried out with one tool.
Combining the operations can reduce tool changes and help maintain consistent alignment between the drilled hole and countersink.
Tools can be produced to suit specific drill diameters, countersink diameters, depths and machine requirements.
Counterbores
Prima Tooling also manufactures counterbore tooling for applications requiring a flat-bottomed recess around a drilled hole.
Counterbores can be manufactured as separate cutters or incorporated into combination tooling depending on the application.
Where required, we can work from an existing tool, drawing, component or sample to produce tooling to the dimensions and geometry required.
Standard and Bespoke Tooling
Alongside standard sizes, a large proportion of the countersinks and counterbores we manufacture are produced as bespoke cutting tools for specific customer applications.
If an existing tool needs replacing or a standard cutter does not provide the required result, our engineers can assess the application and manufacture a suitable solution.
